The HISTORY of the Distinguished Warrior Graduate Program
The Distinguished Warrior Graduate Program was created in 2009 to become a four-year honor (freshman through senior years) that would promote overall student EXCELLENCE. The Classes of 2013 and 2014 were the first two classes to earn the honor and saw approximately 25% of the class attain the identified level of excellence. The Distinguished Warrior graduates are publicly recognized during their high school graduation ceremony by wearing a specially designed orange stole with the warrior emblem. Examination of student achievement data from the first two honored classes show that the students who strive for this honor produce exceptional academic and personal growth. Members of these first classes also completed over 10,000 hours of service to their community.
